Abstract:Objective To analyze the diagnostic effect of blood routine test of automatic blood cell analyzer on thalassemia and iron deficiency anemia. Methods 100 patients with anemia were selected as the observation group, including 53 patients with iron deficiency anemia as the iron deficiency anemia group, 47 patients with thalassemia as the thalassemia group;another 80 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group. All subjects received blood routine test by automatic blood cell analyzer. The red blood cell(RBC), hemoglobin(Hb), mean corpuscular volume(MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH), red blood cell distribution width(RDW) of iron deficiency anemia group, thalassemia group and control group were observed and compared, and the diagnostic coincidence rate of iron deficiency anemia group and thalassemia group was compared. Results The MCV(79.82±7.26) fl and RDW(21.86±6.21)% of iron deficiency anemia group were higher than(64.56±8.12) fl and(15.46±4.76)% of thalassemia group, and RBC(4.22±0.67)×1012/L and Hb(84.99±11.46) g/L were lower than(4.69±0.62)×1012/L and(101.36±10.23) g/L of thalassemia group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in MCH between iron deficiency anemia group and thalassemia group(P>0.05). The RBC, Hb, MCV and MCH of iron deficiency anemia group and thalassemia group were obviously lower than those of the control group, and RDW was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The diagnostic coincidence rate of iron deficiency anemia group was higher than that of thalassemia, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Blood routine test by automatic blood cell analyzer has a significant diagnostic effect, which can effectively differentiate and diagnose iron deficiency anemia and thalassemia, and its effectiveness and feasibility are high. It is suggested that Hb, RBC, MCV, MCH and RDW should be used as diagnostic criteria.
