Research progress of tumor-associated macrophages in bladder cancer

Tumor-associated macrophages exist widely in a variety of tumor microenvironments,and they are also one of the more abundant immune cells in tumor microenvironment.They play an important role in the development of various tumors.Bladder cancer is a common solid tumor.A large number of literatures have reported that tumor-related macrophages are closely related to the occurrence and development of bladder cancer.This paper will summarize the previous research results from the polarization of tumor-related macrophages and tumor-associated macrophages to promote the growth,invasion and metastasis of bladder cancer.In addition,this paper also summarizes the potential anticancer therapeutic methods targeted at tumor-associated macrophages by exploring the mechanism of tumor-associated macrophages in the occurrence and development of bladder cancer.
