肺癌病理类型与外周淋巴细胞rRNA基因活性的关系

目的 研究肺癌病理类型与外周血淋巴细胞rRNA基因活性的方法。方法 应用染色体银染技术，对肺腺癌、肺鳞癌和小细胞肺癌共50例患者和40例正常人外周血淋巴细胞染色体银染核仁形成区（Ag-NORs)进行检测。结果 肺癌组Ag-NORs数/细胞显著高于对照组，各型肺癌组之间，腺癌组的Ag-NORs数/细胞显著高于小细胞肺癌组和鳞癌组。结论 肺腺癌、小细胞肺癌和肺鳞癌患者有转录活性的rRNA基因活性呈递减趋势，与染色体不稳定性呈线性关系。据此，可在不经手术取材的情况下判断肺癌的病理类型，从而指导临床治疗。

Study on the type of lung cancer in connectuion with the activity of rRNA genes in peripheral lymphocytes

Objective To study the relation between the pathological type of lung cancer and the activity of rRNA genes in peripheral lymphocytes.?Methods Using chromosome silver staining technique, the Ag-nucleolar organizing regions (Ag-NORs) of the peripheral lymphocyte chromosomes from 50 patients with different types of lung cancer and from 40 healthy subjects, were counted and analyzed.?Results The average number of Ag-NORs was significantly higher in lung cancer patients than in controls ( P <0.01); significantly higher in lung adenocarcinoma than in small cell lung cancer and squamous cell carcinoma of lung ( P <0.01).?Conclusion The activity and number of rRNA genes in peripheral lymphocytes tend to decrease in the order of lung adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma of lung and small cell lung cancer. The change in NORs is linearly related to chromosome instability. Hence it may be considered to judge the type of lung cancer by studying the peripheral lymphocytes without operation, so as to orientate the therapy, especially in the cases where cancer biopsy is unavailable.
