Efectiveness of target controlled infusion of sufentanil for craniotomy

Objective：To observe the clinical effectiveness of target controlled infusion of sufentanil for craniotomy.Methods：Twenty ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ neurosurgical patients were anesthetized with TCI propofol（the target-concentration was 3μg/mL） and TCI sufentanil.The effect-site target-concentrations were set at 0.53ng/mL,0.48ng/mL,0.30ng/mL and 0.27ng/mL before skin incision,during skull opening,intracranial procedure and skull closing,respectively.SBP,DBP,MAP and HR during operation,the dosage of sufentanil and the time of recovery were observed.Results：The stable hemodynamics was maintained during the operation.The recovery time of spontaneous breath was（9.9±4.8）min,extubation was（12.6±6.0）min,opening eyes was（14.9±7.8）min and the orientation was（18.5±7.3）min.Conclusion：The clinical effectiveness of sufentanil TCI at the recommended target-concentration for neurosurgical surgery is satisfactory.
