Analysis on the rationality of preventive use of antibiotics during cesarean section

Objective To analyze the preventive use of antibacterial drugs during the perioperative period of cesarean section patients and provide reference for clinical rational use of drugs. Methods According to the relevant national norms and documents promulgated by the country,the evaluation criteria were developed and retrospective investigation methods were used to evaluate the rationality of the perioperative preventive use of antimicrobials in 400 cesarean section medical records in the Fourth People’s Hospital of Tongling/Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital of Tongling in 2018. Results The prophylactic application rate of antibiotics in cesarean section patients was 100. 00%. The 227 cases( 55. 10%) of cefazolin was mostly used;A total of 388 cases( 97. 00%) received single antibiotic,and 12 cases( 3. 00%) received two-drug combination use;Drug utilization indexes of cefazolin,cefoperazone sulbactam,azithromycin lactobionate,ceftazidime,mezlocillin sodium and mezlocillin sulbactam were all more than 1;Antibiotics were given after operation in 45 cases( 11. 25%). 348 cases( 87. 00%) were given after the umbilical cord being clamped. 32 cases( 8. 00%) of infection after cesarean section with perioperative use of prophylactic antibiotics,the incidence of infection after umbilical administration was 7. 18%,which was significantly lower than the 15. 56% incidence of postoperative infection( P < 0. 05);Improper drug selection,treatment course and timing of drug administration were the main reasons for the irrational use of antibacterial drugs during the perioperative period. Conclusion There are irrational phenomena of prophylactic application of antibiotics during perioperative period of cesarean section in the hospital,the antibiotics may be abused,hospital should strengthen appropriate interventions and clinical pharmacists should give full play to their professional expertise for the rational use of drugs in the hospital.
