Clinical observation of compound polymyxin B ointment combined with puji hemorrhoid thrombus in the treatment of anal sinusitis

Objective To observe the clinical effect of compound polymyxin B ointment combined with puji hemorrhoid thrombus in the treatment of anal sinusitis. Methods A total of 60 patients with confirmed diagnosis of anal sinusitis were selected from the outpatient department of Nanqiao Temple,Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2018 to June 2019. The patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 30 patients in each group. The treatment group was treated with compound polymyxin B ointment combined with puji hemorrhoid thrombus,while the control group was treated with puji hemorrhoid thrombus. The total scores of symptoms and signs and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared before treatment,3 d and 7 d after treatment. Results 3 d after treatment,the total score of symptoms and signs in treatment group were lower than before treatment and the control group( P < 0. 05),while the control group before and after treatment the total score of 3 d signs and symptoms were no statistically significant difference( P >0. 05);7 d after treatment,the total score of 2 set of symptoms and signs were lower than before the treatment,and the treatment group was lower than the control group( P < 0. 05). 3 d,7 d after treatment,treatment group total effective rate were higher than control group( P < 0. 05). Conclusion Compound polymyxin B ointment combined with puji hemorrhoid thrombus has a good effect in the treatment of anal sinusitis,which can improve the clinical symptoms of patients and is worthy of clinical application.
