Abstract: | In order to assess effectiveness, safety and recurrence rate of preianal condyloma treatment with glacial acetic acid and CO2 laser, all cases were divided into two groups, that is, treatment group and control group. Cases in treatment group were smeared glacial acetic acid around their perianal condyloma first, than treated by CO2 laser for 8 weeks. Cases in control group were only treated with CO2 laser. The results indicated that cure rate of treatment group was 94.44%. Cure rate and recurrence rate of one treatment course were 55.56% and 2.78% respectively. Cure rate of control group was 78.13%. Cure rate and recurrence rate were 18.75% and 25% respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups. (P<0.05). There were also significant differences of one treatment course cure rate and recurrence rate respectively (p<0.01). Condyloma treatment with glacial acetic acid and CO2 laser was one of effective means to cure and control condyloma recurrence. |
