Application and research progression of animal model in schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a kind of serious mental health disease,which brings huge loading to families and society.Because of lacking of research methods and materials for the disease,the mechanism of this disease is not entirely clear until now.However,the starting and progression of schizophrenia have began to know gradually after animal model being introduced into the research.This article reviews about the mechanism of schizophrenia form the animal models such as neurodevelopment model,pharmacology model,transgene model and gene-environment interaction model,in order to supply helpful reference to relevant research in future.
