Antiinnammatory 2,3-Dihydro-1H-pyrrolizines, × 6,7-Diaryl Substituted 1- and 3-Pyrrolizinones (1-DAPON and 3-DAPON) Oxidation of 2,3-dihydro-6,7-diphenyl-lH-pyrrolizine with SeO₂, leads to the pyrrolizinone 2 and the corresponding selenide 3 . Spectral data as well as chemical reactions prove the structure of 2 . An independent synthesis of the isomeric 3-pyrrolizinone 10 is described.
