老年人颞下颌关节紊乱综合征的特点

目的探讨老年人颞下颌关节紊乱综合征（ＴＭＪＤＳ）病因和症状的特点。方法对照分析青、老年ＴＭＪＤＳ患者的易患因素和临床症状。结果老年人ＴＭＪＤＳ的发生主要与后牙缺失、单侧咀嚼和创伤相关；临床症状以疼痛比较多见（８６．９％），Ｘ线检查见关节骨性改变（３７．９％）和全间隙狭窄（１３．６％）较多；临床分期以器质期（４４．２％）为主。结论与老年人ＴＭＪＤＳ发病相关的最重要因素是后牙缺失，其防治关键是尽早修复缺失的后牙

A study on etiological and clinical characteristics of temporomandibular joint disorders in the aged

Objective To study etiological and clinical characteristics of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJD) in aged patients. Methods Etiological factors and clinical symptoms in 206 aged patients with symptoms of TMJD, 100 aged healthy volunteers, 200 young TMJD patients, and 100 young healthy volunteers were analysed. Results Etiological factors in aged patients were mainly related to the loss of posterior teeth, unilateral chewing habit, and trauma. The frequency of TMJD pain during jaw movement, the frequency of joint space narrowing and bony abnormalities on TMJD X ray pictures in the aged patients were higher than in the young patients. Most of the TMJD of the aged patients occurred in the stage of degenerative joint disease. Conclusions The most important etiological factor in aged patients is the loss of posterior teeth. The treatment and prevention should be focused on replacing missed posterior teeth as early as possible.
