Application of Reinforcing the Body Resistance under Treatment For Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic and refractory disease.TCM is available to regulate immunologic function and blocks the development of RA.The author has studied on RA for several decades.In this aritcle,RA is regarded as a disease that body resistance is weakened in principal while pathogenic factor is prevailing in the secondary aspects.Deficiency of vital qi exists in the patient on the whole,and pathogens of excess type are present locally.The weak body resistance not only results in RA,but make it difficult to eliminate pathogens.According to the pathogenesis,reinforcing the body resistance should be used in treatment.Methods of tonifying deficient qi,invigorating blood,nourishing yin and invigorating the kidney and liver are applied frequently.
