肿瘤、外伤、严重感染及先天畸形等所造成的口腔颌面部骨缺损和骨量不足是口腔颌面外科的常见病、多发病,这些都给患者带来了生活上的极大不便和心理上的严重影响.传统的治疗方法有自体骨移植,异体或异种骨移植,植入骨替代材料等,这些方法存在自体骨供应来源有限,移植骨的远期吸收,供区的损伤、疼痛、出血;异体骨的抗原性和潜在的传播疾病的风险;人工骨替代材料来修复颌面部骨缺损,但在生物、机械性能和组织相容性方面上存在不足.因而迫切需要寻找新的骨替代材料来满足修复颌骨缺损的需要,自80年代以来,随着细胞培养技术的飞速发展,组织工程化人工骨为解决这一问题提供了一条新的途径.
