| 摘 要： | 无论是在日常英语还是在外贸英语中 ,refer-ence一词都是一个常见的词。在日常英语中 ,它是一个很活跃的词 ,仅作名词使用 ,加上其有关短语的用法 ,就有 1 0多种不同的意义。而在外贸英语中 ,它又有两种独特的意义 ,这更加大了区别此词意义的难度。1 REFERENCE在日常英语中的意义 根据上海译文出版社 1 978年出版的《新英汉词典》,reference的意义分别为 :( 1 )参考 ;( 2 )出处 ,参照 ,参考书目 ;( 3)参照符号 ( =referencemark) ;( 4 )提及 ,涉及 ;( 5 )关系 ,关联。例如 :The parts of a machine all have reference to eachothe…
