Progress in retinal vasculitis

Retinal vasculitis is always involved retinal vein,but retinal artery is involved less.Increased blindness rate is concerned.Therefore,the meaning of active prevention and cure is very important.Retinal vasculitis is thought to be connected with infection,immunologic mechanism,oxidizing reaction,etc..Fundus fluorescence angiography,ultrasound and laboratory examination play potential roles in enhancing the right rate of diagnosis.The management of retinal vasculitis depends on the stage of the disease,including medical therapy,laser photocoagulation and vitreoretinal surgery.The correct management can effectively improve the visual function of patients.Some new progress in definition,etiology,classification,ground research,diagnose and treatment of vasculitis are reviewed for the further understanding of retinal vasculitis.
