Clinical observation of advanced no-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) treated by domestic gemcitabine and cisplatin

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and side effects of advanced no-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) treated by domestic gemcitabine and cisplatin.Methods Fifty-two patients with locally advanced lung cancer were alloted to the study.The patients received domestic gemcitabine 1000 mg/m~2 on D1,D8,D15,and cisplatin 60mg on D1-3 in the 28-day cycle.Results An objective response was obtained in 46.1%(24/52) of patients(1 CR and 23 PR),whereas 20 patients had stable disease and 8 patients showed progressive disease.The response rate was 57.1% in untreated patients and 33.3% was obstained in treated ones.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The main toxicities were nausea,vomiting and leukopenia and thrombocytopenia.Conclusion The conbination of domestic gemcitabine and cisplatin,being feasible and lower side effects,should be taken as an energetic scheme in the treatment of advanced NSCLC.
