| Abstract: | Chinese drugs such is Rhizoma Arisaematis, Rhizoma Typhonii and Rhizoma Pinelliae should be soaked with alum solution during processing. In this paper, an EDTA chelometric method for the determination of alum content in these drugs is described. The results show that the alum content of samples prepared by different factories ranges from 3% to 20%.The authors suggest that this content should be specified in processed medicine. |
