Comparion of sufentanil/propofol and fentanyl/propofol anesthesia for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatograph

Objective：To investigate the anesthetic efficacy of sufentanil combined with propofol intravenous infusion,and its influence on respiration and circulation system in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography（ERCP） in comparison with fentanyl.Methods：Thirty ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ patients underwent scheduled ERCP were randomly divided into sufentanil/propofol group（S） and fentanyl/propofol group（F group） with 15 patinets in each group.Anesthesia was induced with sufentanil 0.1 μg/kg（S group） or fentanyl 1.0μg/kg（F group） combined with propofol 1.5mg/kg,and maintained with propofol 4-6mg.kg-1.h-1.Propofol would be added when necessary.Anesthesia was withdrawn 3 min before the end of the examination.HR,BP and SPO_2 were continuously monitored and recorded before anesthesia,and 2 min,10 min after anesthesia and at the end point of the examination.Time when unconscious status began,and conscious recovered were recorded.Side effects like nausea and vomiting were also recorded.Results：All patients went through examination quietly and safely.No cough,nausea,vomiting or surgical consciouness were observed.HR was significantly decreased in both two groups after anesthesia（P〈0.05）.Compared with the value before anesthesia,significant decrease in BP was observed 2 min after anesthesia（P〈0.05）.SPO_2 of all patients was above 94%.There was no significant difference between the two groups in HR,BP and SPO_2.There was no significant difference between the two groups in unconscious beginning and recovery times（P all〉0.05） respectively.Conclusions：Both sufentanil/propofol combined with propofol can produce satisfactory anesthesia in ERCP.
