Clinical analysis of drug-coated balloon in interventional therapy of coronary in-stent restenosis

Objective To explore the effectiveness and safety of drug-coated balloon(DCB)treatment in patients with coronary artery in-stent restenosis.Methods Among 60 patients with coronary stent restenosis confirmed by coronary angiography,36 cases were treated with drug-coated balloons and 24 cases were treated with drug-eluting stents(DES).The patients were followed up for 6 months and compare the results of the coronary angiography re-examinations between the two groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference in baseline data between the two groups(P>0.05).The residual stenosis in the drug-eluting stent group was better than the drug-coated balloon group in the two groups of patients immediately after surgery,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of coronary angiography after 6 months of follow-up between the two groups showed no significant difference in target vessel restenosis rate,target vessel revascularization and overall MACE(P>0.05).There were no significant differences statistically in bleeding events between the two groups of patients at 6 months after surgery(P>0.05).Conclusion The drug-coated balloon method is safe and effective for the treatment of patients with coronary artery in-stent restenosis.
