The new stage of contraception among Chinese women.

To obtain the bases for improvement of our policies for birth control, the contraceptive status amoug Chinese women and its effective factors were analysed, these contraceptive rate had risen from 12. 4% in 1970 to 68. 8% in 1988, and rates of IUD use and sterilization had been 62.2%, respectively. All of these had been the highest in 10 contries of South - East Asia. But these rates were obviously lower in readless and low educated women. The contraceptive rate among those women were 65. 66 % and 68. 97 % . The results show that the contraceptive level for Chinese women had reached a higher, more effective and continual level.
