Observation of strengthening psychological counseling to families of cancer patients on the prognosis of patients

Objective To Research the psychological status of the families of cancer patients,to intervene psychological counseling and to observe its impact on the prognosis of patients.Methods Using questionnaires,127 family members of the psychological status of patients with malignant tumors were analyzed,and targeted psychological counseling was applied.The patient prognoses were observed for 3-year follow-up.Results In this study,the effective recovery rate was 98.4%.In the 125cases before care,37 cases were positive emotional response（29.6%）,suspicion,angry and unbalanced emotional response were 49（39.2%）,pessimistic mood response were 14（11.2%）,the treatment of loss of confidence,even despair reaction were 7（5.6%）,confusion and perplexity of the emotional response（fatalistic point of view） were 18（14.4%）.In the 125cases after care,112 cases were positive emotional response（89.6%）,suspicion,angry and unbalanced emotional response were 10（8.0%）,pessimistic mood response were 3（2.4%）,the treatment of loss of confidence,even despair reaction was 0,confusion and perplexity of the emotional response（fatalistic point of view） were 0.Data by the level of data analysis showed that there was significant difference between before and after care on the number of positive emotional responses（P0.05）.41 cases back to work,one case of choriocarcinoma was cured birth,11 cases of elderly patients with fallopian tube cancer can take care of themselves.Patient treatment compliance and quality of life improved significantly.Conclusion The psychological and health education to families of cancer patients can maximize family support system,and is favorable for prognosis of patients,improve patient quality of life.
