Abstract: | When one has difficulty in distinguishing bladdercancer from radiation damage, close cooperationamong specialists and follow up are of great importance for a correct diagnosis and appropriatetreatment. Previous irradiation and infection ofpelvic organs, the bladder in particular, are two ofthe important factors in producing radiation damage. The causes of misdiagnosis vary. If both cystoscopicand histologic appearances are very confusing, closefollow up including careful cystoscopic observationand repeated biopsy is recommended other than ahasty diagnosis of cancer followed by intensivetherapy. |
