Abstract: | The practice of video recording resuscitations is reviewed with respect to the following issues: - ? the protection of patients' rights to privacy during and after recordings
- ? the non status of recordings as a medical record
- ? the need for staff acceptance and institutional approval prior to beginning recordings
- ? the use of recordings for quality improvement audit, critical incident monitoring, instructional feedback and resuscitation review conferences
- ? the recommendation that recordings are then erased, and
