The effect of adrenal steroids on human erythrocyte phosphofructokinase |

| Abstract: | Phosphofructokinase isolated from human erythrocytes incubated with cortisol showed alterations in regulatory properties. The enzyme was more sensitive to the inhibition by ATP and citrate. This effect was abolished by alanine. Similar changes in phosphofructokinase properties were found after incubation with aldosterone and corticosterone. |
