Abstract:Maturation in central nervous system embryonal tumors is an uncommon phenomenon that is mainly reported in the context of specific histological subgroups of medulloblastoma. In this report we describe two cases of histological maturation in patients with supratentorial primitive neuroectodermal tumor with strikingly different outcomes. We discuss the potential impact of such findings on treatment and outcome.
