Peripheral bombesin induces c-fos protein in the rat brain |

| Abstract: | Bombesin injected intraperitoneally induces c-fos protein-like immunoreactivity in the medial nucleus tractus solitarius and the parvocellular part of the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus in the rat brain. C-fos expression induced by bombesin is less densely represented compared with CCK. Capsaicin pretreatment did not influence c-fos-immunoreactivity induced by bombesin and significantly reduced that induced by CCK. |
