Abstract:Objective To study the changes of ionic activity of extracellular sodium and potassium (o?o) of hippocampal slice perfused by coriaria lactone (CL).Methods The sodium ion (Na +) and potassium ion (K +) selective microeletrodes were used to measure alteration of the o and the o of perfused hippocampal slice with CL. Results 30s after perfusing of CL into hippocampal slice, the o decreased 10 mmol/L compared with control values ( P <0.01) and did not return to the control level during the experiment (20min) .1min ?2min ?3min ?5min and 10min after perfusing of CL into hippocampal slice,The o increased 3.3mmol/L ?4.8mmol/L ?4.9mmol/L? 6.5mmol/L and 8.8 mmol/L respectively compared with control values ( P <0.01), 10 min after, the o always kept the level. Conclusion: The influx of Na + and the flux of K + occurred during perfusing hippocampal slice with CL .
