Abstract:The contents of monoamines in rat brains were measured to investigate the effects of soman poisoning at a simulated altitude of 4000 meters. The results showed that the contents of monoamines, including 5 HT, 5 HIAA, NE and DA, were increased after the animals entered the highland and the effects were further exaggerated by acute soman poisoning. The hypoxia may play an important role in the changes in monoamines in rat brains due to soman exposure at altitude.
