| Abstract: | Extramedullary hematopoiesis predominantly occurs in the liver, spleen, and lymph nodes with hemolytic anemia. Occurrence with osteopetrosis tarda in the paravertebral region is very rare. We discuss the examination of the third known case of paravertebral extramedullary hematopoiesis arising with osteopetrosis tarda. |
