Exploration of the Mechanism of the Method of Invigorating Kidney to Remove Phlegm and Stasis in the Treatment of Senile Dementia

Senile dementia is a series of chronic progressive mental deterioration occurring in or pre the geratic period. It is primarily the result of essence deficiency due to kidney deficiency. Phlegm and stasis are both the pathologic results and pathogenic factors for this disease, which go through the whole progress of the disease. Kidney deficiency, phlegm and stasis jointly contribute to this disease, which should be treated by invigorating the kidney and removing phlegm and stasis.
