Abstract: | Metastatic carcinoma to skeletal muscle is uncommon and may originate from breast, colon, lung, pancreas and other sources. Recurrent solitary metastases of renal cell carcinoma in the biceps femori and gluteus muscles are described in a 69 year-old man. The tendency of metastases to occur merely in muscles could not be explained in our case. The relative immunity of muscle to the metastatic process should be further investigated. |
