| Abstract: | The synthesis and biological properties of some 3-vinylthio- and 3-vinylthiomethylcephem derivatives are described. Both series possess potent antibacterial activity. Among them, 3-(Z)-2-cyanovinylthiomethyl]cephem derivative was found to have an expanded antibacterial spectrum. |
