Abstract:Objective:The aim of this study was to clarify whether the stress distribution differences in the superstructure of implants/tooth supported fixed partial denture(FPD) are related to implant length.Methods:A threedimensional finite element model was established and loading of vertical force or buccolingual force were tested.The stress distribution of the superstructure of FPD supported by tooth-implant system with implants of different length,were analyzed by CT scanning.Results:The stress distribution values of implants decreased with the increasing of implants length.The peak value of the stress distribution in abutments with buccolingual loads was 4-6 times as much as it with vertical loads.Conclusion:Mechanic complication of superstructure could be reduced by increasing implants length.So, the further improvements of press resistance of abutments and reduce oblique loads are available.
