伽玛刀治疗脑转移瘤18例报告

报告经伽玛刀治疗的脑转移瘤18例。原发肿瘤中肺及乳房癌占72.5％。脑转移瘤中属单发有11例,多发有7例。肿瘤平均直径19.46mm,肿瘤照射野覆盖平均为56.3％,瘤周边剂量平均为21.5Gy。出院后12例随访9天～1年(平均6.9个月),其中8例存活(平均8.4个月),4例死亡。获CT随访7例,示肿瘤缩小7例,消失4例(3例为多发肿瘤)。认为伽玛刀治疗简便、安全,对控制肿瘤生长有明显作用,并就伽玛刀治疗的指征等进行了讨论。

The Preliminary Report of Gamma Knife Management on 18 Cases of Brain Metastases

Eighteen cases with brain metastases treated with Gamma Knife were reported-Among the primary tumors, carcinomas of lung and breast accounted for 72. 5%. Eleven patients had solitary tumor and seven had multiple tumors:The mean diameter of tumors was 19. 46mm. All tumors were averagely enclosed within the 56- 3% isodose shells of the radio-surgical fields with a radiosurgical "boost" of 21. 5 Gy to the tumor margins. Twelve cases were followed-up for nine days to one year with median in 6- 9 months. Among them eight cases are survival (mean 8. 4 months) , and four died. Seven cases had CT reexamined, showing shrinkage in seven tumors and disappearance in three tumors (three cases had multiple tumors each) . It was believed that Gamma Knife management was simple and safe with conspicuous effects in controlling tumor growth. The indications of Gamma Knife treatment were also discussed.
