Abstract: | The methods and technology to facilitate fusion continue to expand, providing surgeons with a variety of tools to address each patient's individual pathology. While these techniques have the potential to minimize the need for revision, pseudarthrosis remains a challenging problem. The purpose of this discussion is to review the indications for performing spinal fusion, and to highlight the pathogenesis of pseudarthrosis and the options available to achieve successful fusion in the revision setting. |
