Abstract: | Anterior exenteration in the female patient can be performed accurately with a disciplined anatomic approach. The lymphadenectomy provides staging for the carcinoma. Excision of the uterus, a portion of the vagina, and the urethra reduces the potential for pelvic recurrence. Vaginal reconstruction and continent urinary diversion provide a better quality of life with maintenance of sexual function and urinary continence. |
