Abstract:We isolated and characterized 16 polymorphic microsatellite loci in the endangered gray bat (Myotis grisescens). This set of loci will be used to investigate patterns of genetic structure in hibernacula and maternity colonies of the gray bat across their range, ultimately combining multiple lines of evidence (mtDNA data, stable isotope signatures, etc.) to develop a spatial network for the species.
