癫痫与睡眠、睡眠障碍之间的密切关系已经被人们所认识,它们之间相互影响的关系是复杂的,它们之间的作用是相互的。癫痫发作影响睡眠,引起睡眠异常,导致睡眠质量下降,引发睡眠障碍;睡眠问题反过来可诱发癫痫发作,增加癫痫发作频率,影响抗癫痫治疗效果。癫痫患者伴随的不同程度的睡眠障碍,这与睡眠中周期性肢体活动,夜间打鼾,痫样放电或抗痫药物有关。
