Observation on the therapeutic effect of Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction combined with sildenafil on type 2 diabetic erectile dysfunction of syndrome of Qi Stagnation and blood stasis

Objective It is to explore the curative effect of Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction combined with sildenafil in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetic erectile dysfunction of syndrome of Qi stagnation and blood stasis and its effect on the levels of serum homocysteine(Hcy),endothelin(ET-1)and nitric oxide(NO).Methods 82 patients with with type 2 diabetic erectile dysfunction of syndrome of Qi stagnation and blood stasis diagnosed and treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2017 to December 2019 were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 41 cases in each group.Both groups were given diabetic diet education,sexual life norms guidance and psychological counseling.The control group was also given sildenafil by oral administration 30 minutes before sexual life.The observation group was given Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction orally every day based on the control group.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The International Erectile Function Questionnaire-5(IIEF-5)scores,TCM symptom scores and the levels of serum Hcy,ET-1,and NO were observed before and after treatment in the 2 groups,and the curative effects of the 2 groups were evaluated.Results After treatment,the IIEF-5 scores and serum NO level were significantly higher than those before treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);the TCM symptom scores and the levels of serum Hcy and ET-1 were significantly lower than those before treatment in the two groups(all P<0.05),and the observation group were significantly lower than the control group(all P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 90.2%(37/41),and that of the control group was 70.7%(29/41),the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction combined with sildenafil has a definite therapeutic effect in treating type 2 diabetic erectile dysfunction of syndrome of Qi stagnation and blood stasis.It can significantly improve the erectile function of patients,it may be related to reducing serum Hcy and ET-1 levels,increasing serum NO levels,and improving vascular function.
