The relationship between self-perceived burden and debilitating state in patients during the stable period of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases

Objective To explore the correlation between self-perceived burden and debilitating state in patients during the stable period of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods To select 90 cases of patients who were in the stable period of COPD and were admitted to a hospital from June 2019 to October 2020,the general data scale,self-perceived burden scale,Tilburg frailty indicator(TFI)were used for evaluation,and Pearson correlation test was used to analyze the correlation between the self-perceived burden and debilitating status of patients,and determine the nursing intervention strategy.Results Through the scale evaluation,the self-perceived burden scale score of COPD in stable stage was 43.26±4.16 points,69 cases were low level,21 cases were medium-high level.The frailty scale score was 6.13±1.02 points,53 cases were mild,and 37 cases were moderate and severe.Pearson correlation test showed that there was a positive correlation between the self-perceived burden and debilitating state of patients in stable period of COPD(r=0.994,P=0.000).Multiple stepwise linear regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of the self-perceived burden in patients with stable COPD included physical weakness and mental weakness(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients during the stable period of COPD had a heavier self-perceived burden,accompanied by debilitating symptoms,and there was a positive correlation between the two.Clinical nursing intervention should be strengthened to relieve debilitating symptoms and reduce self-perceived burden.
