Management of multiple myeloma |

| Abstract: | This article reviews the diagnostic approach to a patient with suspected multiple myeloma. Studies of chemotherapeutic regimens are reviewed and the alternative therapeutic options available at different stages of disease progression are discussed. These include newer modalities of treatment such as hemi-body irradiation as second-line therapy, bone marrow transplantation in plateau-phase and the role of alpha interferon. |
