Short-term efficacy comparison of middle approach and mixed approach in the laparoscopic radical right hemicolectomy for cancer

Objective:To explore the short-term efficacy of middle and mixed approaches in the laparoscopic right hemicolectomy for cancer.Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on clinical data of 109 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical right hemicolectomy for cancer between Jan.2016 and Aug.2021,and the short-term efficacy of two approaches were compared.Results:The surgery time,intraoperative blood loss and postoperative first defecation time in the mixed approach group were less than those in the middle approach group(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the number of dissected lymph nodes,the incidence of complications and other postoperative recovery indicators between the two groups.Conclusions:Compared with the middle approach,the mixed approach in the laparoscopic right hemicolectomy is better in short-term efficacy,and is a better choice of right colonic cancer.
