A型肉毒毒素与神经病理性疼痛

Botulinum toxin type A and neuropathic pain

Botulinum toxin type A(BTX-A)is often used,as an alternative to surgery,for the treatment of strabismus and many other motor or cosmetic problems.Recent research demonstrates that BTX -A may be an effective therapy for pain syndrome,such as myofascial pain,migraine and different type of headache.The current investigation evaluated the mechanism of action for the antinociceptive effect of botu- linum toxin type A.These findings suggest that BTX-A is a promising new approach for neuropathic pain.
