Effects of Shenqi Jiangtang Granules Combined with Pioglitazone Metformin on Diabetes Mellitus Complicated with Metabolic Syndrome

Objective:To explore the effect of pioglitazone metformin combined with Shenqi Jiangtang Granules on type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with metabolic syndrome.Methods:A total of 60 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with metabolic syndrome admitted to Deyu Medical Maanshan General Hospital from March 2020 to July were selected as the subjects and were divided into a control group(n=30)and an observation group(n=30)by random number.The control group was treated with pioglitazone metformin,and the observation group was additionally treated with Shenqi Jiangtang Granules on the basis of the control group.Glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),inflammatory mediator transforming growth factor-β₁(TGF-β₁),serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1),human granulin precursor(PGRN),cysteine-rich acidic secretory protein(SPARC),islet cell function insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),insulin secretion index(HOMA-β),fasting insulin(FINS),blood pressure,blood lipids,body mass and the incidence of adverse reactions and other indicators.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than the control group significantly(P<0.05);The blood glucose levels of FBG,2hPBGand HbA1c in the observation group were lower than those in the control group significantly(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,PGRN and TGF in the observation group-β₁.The levels of inflammatory factors such as SPARC,VCAM-1 and hs CRP were significantly lower(P<0.05);Fins,HOMA-IR and HOMA in control group and observation group-βThere was significant difference in the function of islet cells(P<0.05);The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group significantly(P<0.05);The WC,BMI,SBP,DBP and other indicators of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05);the observation group′s LDL-C,TG,TC and other parameters were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Pioglitazone metformin combined with Shenqi Jiangtang Granules for treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome can achieve ideal results,which can better improve the blood sugar level of patients,reduce the level of inflammatory mediators,and improve islet cell function,with high safety.It has great promotion value.
