Prognostic significance of early short-term measurements of heart rate variability following acute myocardial infarction

Abstract:This study of 164 subjects demonstrates that short-term (5-minute) recordings of heart rate variability, performed within 48 hours of admission, identify those who survive acute myocardial infarction but have an adverse prognosis.
