The application and skills of vaginal extension with peritoneum in the laparoscopic radical hysterectomy.

Abstract:The classic radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer comports resection of 3cm of vagina, thus it has negative consequences on sexual function duo to the shortened vagina. In recent years, vaginal extension with peritoneum in the laparoscopic radical hysterectomy had been applied in many hospitals. Many researches show the procedure is simple and feasible. It can elongate postoperative vagina and does not aggregate operative complications. This procedure helps to improve sexual satisfaction and sexual function in cervical cancer patients.
