| Abstract: | Worldwide, hundreds of millions of women use exogenous estrogens in contraceptives or for postmenopausal hormone replacement. Exogenous estrogens increase the risk for venous and arterial thrombosis. This article reviews the use of exogenous sex hormones in women with thrombophilia. |
