Abstract:Objective To discuss the value of Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System(BI-RADS)combined with ultrasound elastography(UE)in the differential diagnosis of non-lactating mastitis(NLM)and breast cancer.Methods Totally 159 patients with pathologically confirmed non-lactating breast masses from January 2018 to January 2019 at some hospital were selected retrospectively,including 50 cases of breast cancer and 109 ones of NLM.All the patients were given routine ultrasound(BI-RADS scoring)and UE examinations.Comparison analysis was executed over the ultrasound manifestations,BI-RADS scores and UE scores,and the values of BI-RADS,UE and the combination of them were discussed for the differential diagnosis of NLM and breast cancer.SPSS 22.0 software was used for data analysis.Results There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the percentages of marginal incompleteness between NLM and breast cancer patients.The breast cancer patient behaved obviously better in BI-RADS score,UE score,posterior echo attenuation,calcification as well as the proportions of gradeⅡandⅢinternal blood flows when compared with the NLM patient(P<0.05).The sensitivity,specialty and accuracy for differentiating NLM and breast cancer were 80.00%,82.57%and 81.76%respectively by BI-RADS,76.00%,78.90%and 77.99%respectively by UE and 96.00%,93.58%and 94.34%respectively by the combination of them.BI-RADS combined with UE gained advantages over either of them,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion BI-RADS and UE both have high differential diagnosis values for NLM and breast cancer,and BI-RADS combined with UE has higher differential diagnosis value than either of them,which was worthy for further clinical promotion.Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2021,42(2):56-59,77]
