Abstract: | Hallux valgus is a common disorder. Mild
hallux valgus can be treated symptomatically or
conservatively, but severe cases usually require sur-
gery. In spite of their advantages, most methods
available need to resect the articular surface
(unilateral or bilateral ) of the metatarsophalangeal
or tarsometatarsaljoint together with the bony mass.
which may eventually lead to traumatic arthritis, lo-
cal pain and shortening of toe in the course of time.
In our clinical practice, we designed a new operative
procedure for this deformity. |
