A new elastic tissue stain |

| Abstract: | A selective elastic tissue stain is described. It is based on a hydrochloric acid alcoholic resorcin fuchsin solution with addition of potassium permanganate and formalin. After preoxidation with potassium permanganate, the mixture diluted with water stains also the beta cells of the islets of Langerhans, the neurosecretory materials, and the HBsAg. |
