| Abstract: | The authors describe a case in which a large defect of the scalp was present after tumor excision. It was covered with a free adipofascial flap and a split-thickness skin graft, with satisfactory results. Numerous similar cases of scalp defects reconstructed with other free flaps have been described. But since donor-site morbidity is minimized with free adipofascial flaps, they should be used more often for reconstruction of scalp defects. |
